This week we’ve had a lot of people asking about hypoallergenic dog breeds.
Although no dog is 100% hypoallergenic, this week we’re going to be going through some of the top dog breeds that you can get if you are allergic to dogs. We can’t imagine not being able to have a dog because of an allergy, but the reality is that three in ten of us will suffer from an allergy to our furry friends. So we’ve put together a list of five of the top breeds for allergy sufferers.
From dogs that have less dander, shed lessor have no hair at all, there’s sure to be a breed here for you.
No 1: The Bichon Frise
The Bichon makes an amazing family pet, he loves to play, he gets on with other animals and gets on with children.
Now, I think these dogs look just like teddy bears, they have white fluffy fur black noses and black eyes, so they really do look like a children’s toy! They always seem to be happy and they make really gentle and affectionate pets. They don’t like being left on their own for very long though, so if you do have to go out and work all day they might not be the dog for you.
The main negative of this breed is that they are renowned with suffering from separation anxiety, so this is another reason why you shouldn’t be leaving them on their own for long periods.
They also need a lot of exercise, but the main upside is that the are great for allergy sufferers as their fur doesn’t shed like other dogs.
